Ingrown hair? (help)?

I shave my pubic hair and I frequently get ingrown hairs and razor burn. Today I noticed a pretty big bump underneath my skin on the corner of my pubic area and my inner left leg. I squeezed it and a ton of puss came out then eventually blood. The bump is still pretty big and I think I can see a hair in there but it's so hard to tell. I can not get it out. I used a needle to try to pick it out and was going to use tweezers to pull it out but i can't get it. I am probably just making it worse because I keep picking at it, but It's making me nervous and I am unsure what I should do about it... help!

Ingrown hair? (help)?

Wash the area to get rid of the puss. The best way to get rid of an ingrown hair is with a hot compress. Wet a wash cloth with hot water and press it on the site. By the way, it hurts, but it works!

Ingrown hair? (help)?

most likely an ingrown hair

Ingrown hair? (help)?

they say to shave in the opposite direction of the hair growth, i find to shave the way of the hairgrowth works better for me, and has the same results, minus the ingrown hairs.

try using ordinary soap instead of shaving creames, and moisturize after shaving, also try to wear cotton underwear, fake silk underwear tends to irritate the skin, causing ingrown hairs.

Clean the area with alcohol then try to tweeze the hair out. Ingrown hairs can be annoying and very stubborn, but you shouldn't pop the bump. If you must pop a bump- first wash your hands then take a piece of tissue and pop it. You could be making it worse by getting bacteria from your fingers in the irritated area.

Moving forward, shave in the direction that your hair grows.. not against it.. this way you're less likely to irriate any prospective ingrown hairs. I know shaving in the other direction gets a closer shave, but just try this method maybe 1 or 2 times then you can revert back to your old method if you want. You can also try using Nair b/c it lasts longer and you won't have the same problem again.

Good luck

Ingrown hair? (help)?

first of all,

go to a drugstore and look for a face cream with Rentiol

as the number 1 ingredient

and apply twice a day in the am after your shower

and before going to bed

do this every time you shave

about the big one, do as above

in a few days you may need a mirror but you should see

a dark spot, that is the ingrown hair get a good pair of tweezers

and grab it firmly with the tweezers and pull in one motion

if you apply this cream as i said it will prevent that from happening

if you can't find the cream go to a salon that does waxing and ask them if they carry a cream with retional

Ingrown hair? (help)?

lol just LEAVE IT ALONE!!!

impossible, i know - but it is the best thing to do right now.

in the future, take my advice: GET LASER!!! even one or two treatments will do the trick. trust me, i used to get the worst ever ingrowns, every time i waxed or shaved. i have had 2 brazillian laser sessions and i have not gotten even one ingrown hair. it just makes the hair alot thinner and you can shave and wax with no hassle!

good luck =)

Ingrown hair? (help)?

you should take an eyebrow tweezer and take it out .

Ingrown hair? (help)?

It will adventually grow out. Picking does make it worse because the area swells and makes it impossible for a hair to come out, or be picked out. Hot compresses are an excellent idea. It make take a while to heal. Keep picking and you will get a funky scar, too. Also hot baths help.

Ingrown hair? (help)?

You have to have help to deal with this.Ask your mom,or go to a clinic.Use an electric razor to shave there. It doesn't shave as close as a disposable, making ingrown hairs less likely. You must seek help.A few months ago I had the same thing, and it swelled to the size of an egg,and leaked fluid for 3 solid weeks. It was awful. And whoever works on you, have them clean the needle and/or tweezers with alcohol and wash their hands before touching you. There is a high chance of infection.DO NOT leave it alone,it will fester and get worse. As for retinol,it has mild acid in it.It will make it worse.

Well, it sounds like an ingrown hair. If you pick at them, they'll get swollen and possibly get infected. That may be where the puss came from.

On the other hand, if you're sexually active, there is a possibility you could have an STD. If it continues to concern you, you should see a doctor.

Picking at it will only make it worse! There are lotions and oils you can use to soothe your rasor burn that will help with ingrown hairs. They sell them at drug stores and they really help. Also, try using a sharper razor. If yours is dull, it will pull the hairs out and scratch your skin.
