How do i achieve the light, straight long hair?

coz i have thick hair, it kinda tames when i blowdry it, but htne i want to feel how to have the long, light straight hair? i really hate hair irons..since they can cause big damage....any suggestions...thanks!

How do i achieve the light, straight long hair?

Try paul mitchell super skinny shampoo, conditioner and serum. It was actually reccomended to me by john-paul, the company's owner. It is fab and affordable. It shrinks the hair follicle in diameter and gives hair a sleek, airy feel. If you want to try before you buy, they have mini sizes that only cost like 4 or 5 bucks. Trust me, this stuff saves me 45min/day on taming my hair.

How do i achieve the light, straight long hair?

garne fructise length and strength and rinse he conditioner all the way out

How do i achieve the light, straight long hair?

wash your hair with cold water and apply garnier grutice sleek and shine before you blowdry

Changing my hair colour?

I want to change my hair colour, I am medium / dark brown hair natuarly. Im quite pale with a few freckles on my face.

I really like black hair It would go well with my big fringe..do you think this will be too dark for me?

any colour ideas?

Changing my hair colour?

i think it could look great..

Changing my hair colour?

yes it is too dark for you...try red or blonde

Changing my hair colour?

The best and safest way is to go 1 or 2 shades darker or lighter. Any more and it will look fake. Personaly i think it will look good. I think try it. Good luck

Changing my hair colour?

Black hair and light skin is very flattering. If your not too sure about black hair, get a hair dye that lasts for 5-6 washes. You can get them in very dark colours. Try one of those and if you like it you can go for a permanent black, and if your still not sure try a dark brown or a black/brown.

Be wary of black hair dyes though. If your natural hair colour is dramatically different to the black, your re-growth will be annoying and you will have to dye your hair every few weeks. Eventually your hair will be straw-y! ^_^ Also be prepared to pay the money for every time you have to dye your hair.

Eventually if you don't dye your hair the black will fade to dark brown, and this fading will be increased if you wash, straighten or blowdry your hair often. Also the cheapness of the dye will depend on how fast it fades (apposed to very expensive or salon colours), as will the amount of dye your hair soaks up and how much it holds. Within 2 weeks of dying my hair the colour is gone?

I have dark brown hair and I try dark reds with black in them, copper, purple, black and very dark browns. I even bleached all my hair once and dyed it blue. Then dyed it back to brown, then to purple, now its red.

Good luck!

Update my haircut? male, age 26, hair supposedly "stuck in the 90's"?

So a co-worker said something about my hair being stuck in the 90's. So I figured I'd throw it out there for suggestions.

Here is basically my haircut, except my hair is wavy and has more volume. I use pomade right now if I want to have it under control:

http://images.askmen.com/fashion/trends/...

I don't have a photo of myself, but here's a pretty good match for face shape, nose, lips, and skin and hair color:

http://matildakay.com/images/harry.jpg

Also I have big ears. And some risk of white-boy-fro. Heh. I just figured that might be relevant to any short haircut recommendations.

Photos, links to photos would be awesome. Thanx :P

Update my haircut? male, age 26, hair supposedly "stuck in the 90's"?

Since I figure you're more comfortable with your hair longer, have a look at the following website: http://haircutsformen.org/buzz/pages/cut... . I really like the fourth one over on the top row. I think maybe the only thing that makes your hair seem "90s-ish" is that it's long in the back. If you keep it longer on top, and take the length off the back, you'll be able to update your style.

If you want a drastic change, then take a picture of a celebrity (ie. David Beckham, Brad Pitt, etc.) to the hair stylist and ask for what they have. You seem like an attractive man, you don't have to hide behind long hair!

Update my haircut? male, age 26, hair supposedly "stuck in the 90's"?

just go to a salon and tell them your problems with getting it cut short, etc. and they will know what to do to make it look good

Big Hair!!

How do you get the Big Full Curls like Pamela Anderson?

I was wondering if anyone new how to get the Pamela Anderson style. I want the hair style with her hair down and curly but really big full curls, I love the volume and I was wondering how to get it? Does anyone have a web site or something?

How do you get the Big Full Curls like Pamela Anderson?

try a volumizing spray or hair balm.. then blow dry your hair and style it with a 2-inch curling iron

How do you get the Big Full Curls like Pamela Anderson?

hair extentions! they cheat in hollywood.also big hot rollers with minimal fussing after. there is special products to help set the curl too. I suggest you talk to a salon you trust because different hair types have different needs, it would be a pitty to go through hours of setting and rolling to find your hair wont hold a curl anyway. Plus doit yourself is very time consuming and tiring if your hair is already long.

About curly hair extensions?

k, so my hair is naturally straight, and its pretty long (like 19") and it's not too thick or thin. I've always wanted curly hair EXACTLY like Jessica Simpson's:

http://www.e-wig.info/images/hothair/js-...

I was thinking of getting those extensions but:

-if i clip those extensions to my hair i'll have to curl my real hair to match it... would it make my hair look 'overly volumized" or too big/poofy?

I can't make my real hair look curly like the one in the picture because my i have a lot of short layers.

About curly hair extensions?

extensions are ugly and a waste of money.

just be patient and grow it out

Was that big guy from lost in the background on Supernanny last night?

It was filmed in Hawaii...and I swear I saw that big guy with the curly hair on Supernanny last night..when they were at the restaurant.

Was that big guy from lost in the background on Supernanny last night?

haha, I was flipping channels and I saw that! But I don't think it was him, he wasn't as fat as the Lost guy.

Getting hair cut tomorrow...?

So i'm getting my hair cut tomorrow. My hair is brown, right now is about 5 inches past my shoulder, and is big, wavy/curly and layered. It can get really frizzy and out of control, but lately i've been able to control it with garnier fructis mousse. I want to grow it out bc the longer it gets, the curlier it gets and i like it. I was thinking that instead of getting the usual (a trim and fixing up the layers), i would ask for more layers interspersed, like the top layer quite a but shorter than usual (probably about 4-5 inches long, while its 7-9 now) and then the layers gradually increasing after that. i know that this looks really nice with straight hair, but would this make my hair huge? i would continue using mousse, but would this like ruin my whole style? has anyone tried this with the same hair type i have? what happened? any suggestions?

Getting hair cut tomorrow...?

you should cut it even...

PLZ CHECK OUT MY QUESTION TITLED : "I'm getting suspended...?" IT IS VERY IMPORTANT.

THANK YOU

Getting hair cut tomorrow...?

Well, you should be carefull when you have plan to cut your hair, otherwise you'll end up with bad hair cut, but if you do so have bad have haircut, you can read it here http://www.thinkdammit.com/?p=77 to cope with your haircut problem

Getting hair cut tomorrow...?

It all depends on how wide your curls are. If they are more like waves and not ringlet curls, then I guess that would be fine, but if they are like... tight curls, I suggest you do NOT get it more layers, unless you want a bundle or curled hair scrunched up to the top of your head.

I need Help to get curled hair with curlors.?

I want to have curled hair using normal curlors and not using heated curlors or curling iron. I don't know how big the culrors should be. My hair is like to my midback and is layered and really think.I want to know how to curl my hair and how to make it stay. Thank you.

I need Help to get curled hair with curlors.?

when you have washed your hair tie it up in a bun and leave it till dry this is the natural way

gud luck curly wanna be

I need Help to get curled hair with curlors.?

Generally the smaller the roller the tighter the curl- if you just want body and waves use jumbo rollers. Wash hair or spray with water. Gently grab an amount that is less wide than the curler and starting at the very tips softly roll toward your scalp. secure with tape, pick or pin. it usually dries over night or with drier in 30 minutes. When I want curls I have my damp hair sectioned and I twist from tips to scalp turning the hair as I go and wind it to my scalp and secure with a hair stick. This can be worn as a style during the day and when you let it down after work/school it is a bouncy curly do! and more comfortable than curlers and not damaging..

I need Help to get curled hair with curlors.?

The size of the rollers depends on the size of the curl your trying to achieve. First buy the plastic, magnetic rollers with the smooth barrel. This roller will let your roll up your hair while it is still wet. Get you a bottle of Lotta Body Setting Lotion. This product will let you keep your curls looking nice, soft, with plenty of bounce, and shine. Instead of using hair spray. Hair spray causes the hair to become hard, stiff, dull and eventually break off.

Now to roll up your hair. This also depends on what kind of style you are trying to achieve. If you want a head full of curls that are kind of tight, then you will roll up your hair all the way to the scalp. If you want loose bouncy curls then you will have to roll up your hair half way or just at the ends.

Why is my penis getting bigger..and iam startin to get hair on my ballz..why???

my penis was 5 inches and now its 7 inches..and iam getting hair on my ballz and around my penis

Why is my penis getting bigger..and iam startin to get hair on my ballz..why???

Welcome to puberty and manhood, and you mean to tell me no one ever talked to you about this. Don't worry its normal cant stop it either so get used to it. Next thing is you could be experiencing a discharge from your penis that is normal its gooey and cleary white like that's ok its semen. Perhaps you can get into health class at school they teach alot about this. Or look up puberty on the computer and see what it says for boys.

Your ok though and know that just relax and let it happen.

Why is my penis getting bigger..and iam startin to get hair on my ballz..why???

You are becoming a man.

Why is my penis getting bigger..and iam startin to get hair on my ballz..why???

It probably means you have a disease called Peyronie's disease which puts you at increased risk for necrotizing fasciitis, meaning your penis could succumb to decay and gangrene. You should put a splint on your penis and bathe it in milk and fish oil daily to keep it supple and prevent yourself from getting NF. I also suggest you speak to your doctor.

Don't be ashamed, Peyronie's and NF are quite common, treatable diseases! It's not your fault!

Why is my penis getting bigger..and iam startin to get hair on my ballz..why???

Cuz you're going through puberty. Duh! Or you are taking some mad viagra! ^_^ Either way, good luck! ;-)

What's wrong with guys having long hair?

I'm a guy and i have long hair. It's past my shoulders. Why does everybody make such a big deal about it. And do chicks hate dudes with long hair

What's wrong with guys having long hair?

No, there are plenty of chicks who like long hair on guys! its just personal preference!

What's wrong with guys having long hair?

i personally dont like it

What's wrong with guys having long hair?

After it gets past the shoulder it starts to look femine. Idk some girls like it.

What's wrong with guys having long hair?

Take a look at Sanjai on American Idol, and then tell me. But, seriously some guys look hot with long hair. Just not him.

What's wrong with guys having long hair?

guys with long hair is kewl in hs

What's wrong with guys having long hair?

i happen to LOVE guys with long hair. don't pay attention to everyone else. they're just jealous of your awesome hair.

What's wrong with guys having long hair?

I think it's kinda gross when guys have long hair. Short hair looks much cleaner so I prefer guys with shorter hair. But that's just me : )

What's wrong with guys having long hair?

im not sure. above the shoulders is ok with me, but past it just looks bad on some people. it depends on what kind of hair you have. i have mixed feelings about it.....

What's wrong with guys having long hair?

I don't mind it, I think it looks pretty hot (depends on the guy though) just as long as it's not past the shoulders, then it looks too feminine.

What's wrong with guys having long hair?

actually, God said that men arent supposed to look like women, and vice versa, thats why ur not supposed to have long hair...but it does look really hot on some guys lol

What's wrong with guys having long hair?

a guy with long hair makes them look like girls.

What's wrong with guys having long hair?

Because you look like a woman and it looks like you don't have good hygiene.

Hair extensions...?

I've been considering hair extensions for a few months now. My mom finally agreed to it. She ordered the CLIP IN Jessica Simpson 22" straight hair extensions. (It's fake hair..not real, and it isnt weeved in, its cliped in) A lot of the reviews were saying that the cap was too big for the head, and the hair got tangled and notted easily.

So if anyone has ever ordered, or know someone that has ordered the CLIP IN Jessica Simpson hair extensions...if you can tell me what you thought of it I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks :)

Hair extensions...?

Despite what people have said, I think that they are AHmazing. I've had them in for 4 months and my natural hair grew like a mother, so when I took them out, no one could tell that I used extensions. I HIGHLY recommend!

Hair extensions...?

you dont really need to order anything. just go to sally's and you can get REAL hair extensions for like $30 and buy the clips and glue them on yourself so you can have clip ons. it doesnt tangle easily and you can style it too! :D

Professional looking "up" hair style for someone with semi*short, thin hair ??

Do a low ponytail to one side, then curl it. It looks sophisticated.

Professional looking "up" hair style for someone with semi*short, thin hair ??

Hey! I have an idea, why dont you put your hair in a low ponytail, and braid it. Make sure the pony tails are thin. Almost like rubber bands. Its cute, comfy, and fashionable!

Can I use two conditioners for my poofy and frizzy permed hair?

I have coarse, thick straight (short) hair which I got permed. My hair is still very poofy and frizzy. Can I use two kinds of conditioners/shampoos meant for poofy and frizzy hair respectively, or is it a big offense? If I can, should I use the two conditioners on the same hair wash or alternate between them every couple of days or so?

Can I use two conditioners for my poofy and frizzy permed hair?

actually two conditioners put more moisture into your hair and is safe to do

I also recommend that you deep condition your hair

"leave conditioner in for an hour once a week"

works wonders

Can I use two conditioners for my poofy and frizzy permed hair?

Go nuts!

Can I use two conditioners for my poofy and frizzy permed hair?

I have the same kind of hair you do. I simply skip the shampoo, feed it LOTS of conditioner, and I'm good. I use either, Tressemme, Pantene, or Infusium. Be sure to stray away from the volumizing, or full body conditioners. That mucy is self evident. I recommend moisturizing conditioner.

Hair loss & hairstyles???

I've been using birth control for about 4 years now...and my hair is steadily thinning!!! I have to do something about this asap...its very depressing....my parts are getting bigger, I have no body in my hair...are there some hairstyles that might help? maybe something short(but not too short) with maybe some bangs...I'm not a bang-type person..but anything that will help...please give pictures for hairstyles :) a picture at...www.myspace.com/britntex

Hair loss %26amp; hairstyles???

My mother suffers from a disease that cause hair loss. She now has a very chic, very cropped hairstyle. The shorter your hair, the better it will look. Short hairstyles look very modern and sophisticated.

Don't just go for a boring bob: try an angular style like Posh Spice, or even a pixie cut like my mom. And remember, confidence is the best beauty accessory.

Hair loss %26amp; hairstyles???

I've had hair loss for a while - just in my part and the crown of my head. My hair is thin and medium brown. I found a product that thickens my hair and hides the scalp - it's called Dermmatch. It's kind of a makeup you apply on your scalp when your hair is wet where it's thin and it camouflages your scalp and actually makes your hair thicker and allows you to keep the hairstyle you like. It comes in several shades and works well when you blend two shades to match your hair colour. I've used it for a few years now and no one notices my thinning hair anymore and it's much easier to style and manage.

Try the styles in these video commercials I have seen, They are HOT !

I want to do my hair- help, quick! 10 points!?

k so i just got out of the sohwer and my hair is still wet. I want like big loose curls or something.....volume, or mabye i could put muss in to make it curly, i have natrual waves

not diffuser :(

i do have blow dryer, protectant, flat iron...stuff like that tho hair spray...

thanks!

im 13

have 2in below shoulder hair

side bangs

fine, not thick

help?

I want to do my hair- help, quick! 10 points!?

I am seventeen, and I have the same exact type of hair as you - but more thick.

I know what would be PERFECT for your hair...

1. Since your hair is still wet, this is the perfect time to volumize it. In order to do this you should DEFINITELY add the mouse to your hair.

2. You are very lucky that you have natural waves but if you are looking for big loose curls you need to add the moouse and make sure that you put in some hair gel in addition to the mouse.

3. I think you should also straighten the side bangs to your hair and leave the rest of your hair curly.

Personal Tip [I realized that sometimes if you are in a cool such as an air conditioned room the curls come out better]

Good Luck! Let me know if this helped!

Im sure your hair will come out great!

I want to do my hair- help, quick! 10 points!?

Get a big hair clip from the store, put in it a ponytail, and clip it NEAR the top of your head. It looks great!

I want to do my hair- help, quick! 10 points!?

you could try putting mousse and conditioner in it and let it dry on its own

I want to do my hair- help, quick! 10 points!?

put in product to make it smooth and dry upside down and your hair will be nice and wavy :)

I want to do my hair- help, quick! 10 points!?

Spray the protectant on then blow dry it all then get you get the flat iron (by that i hope you mean straighteners) get a piece of hair and put the iron at the top curl it inwards and move slowly down the section of hair. then spray with hairspray when your done :) hope it works. xxx

I want to do my hair- help, quick! 10 points!?

Put moose in it - let air dry about 50% dry then turn your dry on med to low and scrunch your hair with your fingers. Grabbing sections of your hair and crumbeling like you would crumble peices of newspaper tightly. Do this all over until completely dry or you have the amount of curl you want. Follow up with Hair spray and scrunch one final quick time before the hair spray drys.

I want to do my hair- help, quick! 10 points!?

my hair is the same style as yours!!!!!!!!!!!!

put your hair up in 4 small wrap-around buns and the waves will be very pretty if you toch-up with a thin curling-iron

I want to do my hair- help, quick! 10 points!?

First, towel dry your hair so it is not really wet. I would put the mousse in your hair (not too much though) and then pull your hair up loosly (not tight or in a good pony tail, loose and messy instead) and make a messy, loose bun as far on top of your head as possible. Leave it like that for a while until it starts to dry. When almost dry, softley pull out the bun and let your hair fall. You should have some nice, loose curls. I hope this helped and good luck.

Hi, hair problem?

Ok, my hair is so annoying and idk what to do! If i take a shower at night then a few hours later it is really frizzy so i straighten it and then in the morning it is still frizzy so i straighten it for about 5 min and it looks fine but then at skool it goes POOF! And when i take a shower in the morning i dont have time to blow dry my hair AND straighten it so i put it in a pony tail... but if i just leave it alone without puting it in a pony tail then it get all frizzy later on in the day! So i can only do 2 hair styles and everthing else makes my hair frizzy! I kno this doesnt seem big but it is to me! And im only 12 so idk much about my hair and what can damage it or not! So just plz tell what i should do to my poofy hair???

Hi, hair problem?

I have the same problem! honestly, the best way to figure out what will work best for YOUR hair would be to find a stylist that can do something for it. S/he will be able to see what hair type you have and suggest some products that will be good for your hair. I know that going to a stylist can get expensive, so you could even go somewhere like Regis Hairstylists, or the JC Penney styling salon. They will probably try to sell you what products they have in the store, but you can always tell them that you're 12 and don't have a lot of money to spend on products --they should recommend some products you can get at Wal-Mart or Target. Also, if you dont' want to go through all of the trouble of finding a stylist to help, you can try to use a product you put in your hair while it's still wet. Try a mousse or anti-frizz product. Frizz-Ease is a great product that I used to use, and it's fairly inexpensive compared to what I buy now. They make a mousse, and a great anti-frizz serum that you put in your hair when it's still wet, and you blow dry it straight. i wouldn't use the serum unless you're going to blow-dry your hair- this is where the mousse can help. Also, try lightly spraying some hairspray on it when you're done styling. I think that by putting in a product when it's wet and blow-drying it, you'll see a HUGE improvement in the frizz that it has. Good luck, and I hope it helps!!!

Hi, hair problem?

hmmmm..this is a hard one, um i would suggest getting a relaxer if it really bothers you alot, or maybe a hair cut with layers. Sometimes that can change the effect of the puffyness. Um but i woudl really try finding a gell (styling) it will help with the puffyness and it will also help you with styles other than the 2 that you already have.

hope things work out.

Hi, hair problem?

Maybe conditioning more often and getting your hair soaked in the shower less often may help.

Check out the videos on hair care at

http://www.jessicurl.com

they're not just for use with her products but are generally applicable.

See also Massey's book "Curly Girl". It's been out long enough that many public libraries have copies available.

Hi, hair problem?

Well maybe you should go to the salon and get a very mild relaxer(strightner) And at night wrap your hair put a silk scarf on your head befroe you go to sleep...Also try to wash it like once a week...Hopefully that helps

Hi, hair problem?

Try:

www.healthyhairplus.com

www.answerbag.com

www.alumbo.com

You can get a lot of different answers if you Google Frizzy hair home remedies.

You can also go into your local salon and ask tons of questions.

Good luck

Hi, hair problem?

try using gel or sprunching spray when you get out of the shower and sprunch it...in case you dont know, sprunch is just taking sections and scrunching it so it'll be curly, but since yours is already curly, the gel and spray will help the frizz. good luck!

Hi, hair problem?

honey, you should'nt care about looks at your age!!

but even if you do, big hair is beautiful!! i love big hair! don't straighten or anything, you'll just be sorry when your older, keep it that way, its uniuqe and pretty!

Hi, hair problem?

When you don't have time to blow dry to keep hair from frizzing use some mousse and spray hair gel and scrunch your hair to give it some wave and volume and leave your hair down and go with it as for straightening its all about the product you use, the best I have found is Chi which is only sold in salons or salon stores such as Trade Secret, it works great especially if you are straightening with a flat iron after you blow dry and it also works as a heat protector to keep hair safe from damage. You can also opt for a leave in conditioner such as Infusium 23 to help with the frizz as well, another great product is Silk by Paul Mitchell. All of these have tamed my hair beyond belief, I have naturally curly hair which is very prone to frizzing and these have helped me tremendously. I hope this helps you out. And another tip, always blow dry your hair in small sections using a round brush to get it really straight and to cut down on frizz too.

College Problems... what to do with wavy hair?

Okay, So I have medium length, wavy brown hair. Every day, I've become accustomed to waking up extra-early in order to shower-dry-straighten my hair. I've grown up despising my natural hair because I NEVER know what to do with wavy hair (other than put it up). I'm going to college, where I'll have no time to sit and straighten every day. I'd LOVE to have that perfectly styled hollywood wavy hair. But I've tried all sorts of products that leaves my hair greasy or flat on top - big on the bottom. Any ideas to achieve a nice look with my wavy hair?

College Problems... what to do with wavy hair?

Ok what you schold do is after a shower get some curling mousee or gel or whatever. You scrunch your wet hair together. Put your head upsidedown and grab a handful of hair when you have your prouduct in it and then scrunch it to your head. This usually forms really cute curls. After spray your hair with some mega hold hair spray. This looks really cute with a side part too!

College Problems... what to do with wavy hair?

shave your hair off and glue a rainbow wig to your head.

College Problems... what to do with wavy hair?

have to agree with the previous person a rainbow wig would also be a great way to meet people. Solving two problems

College Problems... what to do with wavy hair?

why don't you flaunt your natural beauty...I'm in college and trust me...nobody there really cares about what i where or nething like that...that attitude is soooooooooo high school lowerclassman.....

College Problems... what to do with wavy hair?

You can try going to a hair salon and asking them for help. Or you can go get it relaxed. If you do get it relaxed, then you have to in once a month to get it touched up.

College Problems... what to do with wavy hair?

well when you get out of the shower put your head of and blow dry your hair while doing that use some hair gel called bed head it great.it gives your waves that shirming and bouncey look...its great.

College Problems... what to do with wavy hair?

i have the same problem so i go wavy using scrunch hair spray when i can't straighten it. When i do straighten my hair i take a shower at night and it drys while i sleep so i don't have to wake up too early.

College Problems... what to do with wavy hair?

I use either curling mouse 2 make my hair more wavy or sometimes i do this:

put it up in a pony tail but make sure its not too tight

make a small hole in between the scrunchie and ur head

put the hair in that is up through the hole

My Friend's New Scene Hair? :S?

My friends just had her hair cut. She was after a big scene side fringe and lots of short layers. But she ended up with a gorgeous fringe and layers, and REALLY REALLY thin hair at the bottom, and her hair used to be gorgeus and thick and long. And now its short and thin and she's crying 'cause she jates it. :S Does anyone have any ideas of what i could suggest she do? and some pictures of beautiful scene hair cuts which are short and thin at the bottom would be great too. :] Annndd.dd.. would blonde extensions go with brown hair, because she has some blondies and wants to know if they'd look ok, because theyd make her hair longer and thicker. :) Thanksss xxx:] LY

My Friend's New Scene Hair? :S?

Put Some Extensions in =]

My Friend's New Scene Hair? :S?

blonde extensions would most deffinetly give her the scene look, if that's what she wanted.

but if she wanted a more normal style, buy some brown ones.

Help! My stepdaughters hair is the worst thing you've ever seen!?

ok, this is a different weekend for us. My fiancees ex, actually let us take his daughter for the weekend. i adore her and I'm glad to have her here, but her momdropped her off about 15 minutes ago, and her head is so full of lice that they are walking on her face. i know how to treat lice, i need help on how you can untangle a five-year-old's hair when it literally all one big snarl. it looks like her mom hasn't brushed it since the last time we had her here two months ago. it's terrible I neeed to get it brushed so i can delouse it, but I can't get the snarls out. I don't want to just chop her hair off, but the detangler spray we use for my daughter isn't helping at all. Can anybody help me with this?

Help! My stepdaughters hair is the worst thing you've ever seen!?

I think she needs a nice little pixie cut. That way, when mom neglects her hair, it won't matter as much.

I believe there's a chain of salons out there specifically for kids with lice. It is probably expensive, but they may be better able than you to fix this.

Help! My stepdaughters hair is the worst thing you've ever seen!?

really creamy conditioner, wet it, lots of conditioner, rinse, repeat.

Help! My stepdaughters hair is the worst thing you've ever seen!?

go get a really good conditioner and leave it in for a while. or try olive oil. good luck!!!

Help! My stepdaughters hair is the worst thing you've ever seen!?

Put mayonnaise in her hair. It will help smother the lice and make the hair shiny and slippery enough so you can brush it out. Obviously, after her hair is combed out you can NIX her hair or do whatever you prefer to kill the lice. Here hair may be a little oily from the mayo for a little while and it might take a few shampoos aftewards to get it back to normal but it's better than cutting it off. Good luck!

Help! My stepdaughters hair is the worst thing you've ever seen!?

Put a lot of hair conditioner on her head and comb it through.

Help! My stepdaughters hair is the worst thing you've ever seen!?

I'm pretty sure there's a foam lice remover which would mean you could just rub it on her hair without combing it through. Try something like vegetable oil as a detangler but make sure to wash it again afterwards because it will smell. Maybe you and your fiancee should speak to his ex about this.

Help! My stepdaughters hair is the worst thing you've ever seen!?

Unfortunately if baby shampoo and tangle spray aren't working you may have to resort to scissors. Sounds like a call to social services is in order too.

Help! My stepdaughters hair is the worst thing you've ever seen!?

put a heap of conditioner and water in it rub it through untill its a little easier to brush... good luck... poor lil thing!

Help! My stepdaughters hair is the worst thing you've ever seen!?

If it were me, I would cut out the snarl, treat the lice, then take her to the salon to have it styled nicely.

Her Mum SHOULD thank you, but some people can be so ungrateful...........

Help! My stepdaughters hair is the worst thing you've ever seen!?

That girl is being neglected. You should contact child services, even if they don't do anything, they will document the report in case anything else happens. Now, get some good conditioner, wet her hair and leave the conditioner in for ten minutes or so. Then, with the conditioner still in, see if you can tease some of the knots apart. You may have to cut out some of the larger tangles, but you can probably salvage most of it. If her mom doesn't even take the time to brush her hair and keep her free of lice, she doesn't deserve to have a kid. See if your fiancee can get joint or full custody, this kid doesn't need to be growing up the way she is.

Help! My stepdaughters hair is the worst thing you've ever seen!?

Try wetting it and then using a cream conditioner (alot if you have to) and rub it into her hair and scalp and then use your fingers, starting with the scalp and lightly wiggle them back and forth pulling out wards, or midway down her hair and do that same, the conditioner will "grease" up her hair making it slippery and easier to detangle than that detangling spray will do.

I have THICK and naturally curly hair and it is always getting tangled and hard to mannage and this is what I do to detangle my own hair. I hope it works for you!! and thats sad that a mother could let her child live like that. at least she has some one who cares about her!!! Good job stepmom!!!

Help! My stepdaughters hair is the worst thing you've ever seen!?

ok im sorry to tell you this but you stepdaughter is going to have to go through some pain you take a comb or a brush with rakes in them and you brush or comb that hair like heck and if it gets to hurting to much for her take her to a perfishonal and have them deal with it but i would try but first sugestion first bc you don't know how much the perfishonal will cost

Help! My stepdaughters hair is the worst thing you've ever seen!?

Wow. I understand that she is your stepdaughter but with lice like that she would not be coming in my house. Use lots of conditioner and leave it in for a long time. I would say to use the lice medicine anyway. You have to make sure you wash everything that her hair has touched, pillows, couch, even the car can have lice in it. I think you need to pursue this CPS case. That child doesnt deserve to be neglected like that. How can a MOTHER do that to her child?!?!?!?!??! ARGH!

I'm thinking about highlighting my hair pink, and I was wondering if anyone has any tips or sty

I have shortish layered w/ bangs dirty blond hair. I have never dyed my hair before, and was thinking of highlighting my hair with pink (but not big chunks just little pieces all over my head).

And i was hoping that people would have any advice/ cautions for me. Any advice would be greatly welcome. Thank you.

I'm thinking about highlighting my hair pink, and I was wondering if anyone has any tips or style/dying advice

Pink works best on prelightened hair. It should be light blonde if you want it to show up. There are a few lines out there that have bright pinks. The only problem is that they wash out really fast because they are semi permanent not permanent hair color.

Be prepared to redo the pink pieces every 4 weeks if you want to keep the color vibrant.

I woulds also go for a couple of large chunks instead of smaller pieces because they will show up more.

Maybe you can do a chunk at the nape of your neck to see how much you like it. Pink is fun and will work well on lighter hair like yours.

Go for it!

I'm thinking about highlighting my hair pink, and I was wondering if anyone has any tips or style/dying advice

be aware that hair is extremely fragile and its going to start breaking off... i have dyed my hair plenty of times, and colors to know.

I'm thinking about highlighting my hair pink, and I was wondering if anyone has any tips or style/dying advice

Before you die your hair, remember that it contains hundreds of chemicals that can ruin your hair.

I'm thinking about highlighting my hair pink, and I was wondering if anyone has any tips or style/dying advice

pink can be tricky so if you can afford a stylist, go to one. Find out from people who've used that salon first before going. it's terribly easy to go to someone bad when you could have done it better yourself. if you do do it youself separate the hair and do't do too many pieces or you could look really wierd. Be VERY careful with your bangs its too easy to screw that up.

I'm thinking about highlighting my hair pink, and I was wondering if anyone has any tips or style/dying advice

i have dyed my hair many time with almost every color there is and its good most of the time to maybe have someone there with you in case something goes wrong, also it helps if you want to highlight the back of your head to cause the one thing that you must not do is go over the same highlighted hair twice thats a big NO NO. also make sure to after doing it use good conditioner and hair products so that your hair doesnt become very damaged.

I'm thinking about highlighting my hair pink, and I was wondering if anyone has any tips or style/dying advice

just beware that your hair might come out to be really damaged after that because dying your hair that bright will take a while to do and it kills your hair, but ask your hair stylist if they can put some sort of conditioner on it before so that theres a chance that your hair wont get damaged as much. and after getting your hair highlighted, ask your hairstylist for a conditioner or some sort of product that you can put on daily so that your damaged highlighted hair can somewhat be repaired

Can I/ should I get a perm to get my hair like this?! Please!?

So, my hair was super curly, like ringlet curly, when i was little. Then I braided my hair alot and that made it wavy all the time. Plus it got longer and that weighed all my curls down. Then I straignted my hair for a long time. Then I gave my hair a break for like a year cause it was totally fried. Now my hair is just ONE BIG FRIZZ BALL. AHHHH!!! Its got curls and straight stragley frizz strands and the whole thing is just big and puffy. The lenth of my hair is long. So, does anyone know how I can get my hair like this: http://www.jeremycowart.com/photo_images...

Will a perm do? What kind? I really need help! Thanks!

Can I/ should I get a perm to get my hair like this?! Please!?

I am a stylist and i do not recommend a perm YOUR hair is in no conditon you need a good hair cut and then need to be taught how to style it to acheive this look. This look is NOT a perm it is curled with a curling iron!

Can I/ should I get a perm to get my hair like this?! Please!?

You know you can just use a curling iron...

Can I/ should I get a perm to get my hair like this?! Please!?

that is soo pretty .. i would definately get it.

Can I/ should I get a perm to get my hair like this?! Please!?

hmm...i wanna know 2...lol. i am gonna sit here refreshing the page till i c a good answer too... lol :-)

Can I/ should I get a perm to get my hair like this?! Please!?

that was done with a curling iron by a pro. as far as your curls go get a moisturizing shampoo and a heat protectant to use when straightening it. that is the frizz cause. take a little length off and they will come around but if you get a perm it might dry it out again. mine were like that and i cut and moisturized and now i have the ringlets again.

Can I/ should I get a perm to get my hair like this?! Please!?

After shampooing and conditioning your hair while it's still very wet take small sections and twist them until you have done your entire head. Let you hair dry like that and it will look like the picture.

Can I/ should I get a perm to get my hair like this?! Please!?

A perm will only make things worse, i would suggest using a lot of conditioning treatments, try using frizz control stuff. You could talk to a person at a salon and see if they would be willing to perm your hair, from the sounds of it they might tell you no. The girls hair in the picture looks like a spiral perm. Adding more moisture to your hair might bring the frizz down some, i would try anything with moisturizers in it. Add shampoo and conditioners with moisturizers. Hopefully that will help with the frizz. After a few months then you might be able to get the perm, but like I said the salon might tell you no!!

Can I/ should I get a perm to get my hair like this?! Please!?

Well it depends if you really want it. I mean it is a really nice hair style, but it's you're chose! If you really like it and think you'll look good then get it, but if you want you can just curl it any time you want. That's what I did, I really wanted to have curly hair, but my mom said it would be better to just get a regular curling iron and just curl it when ever I want! So I get a curling iron for like 30 $ at Ulta beauty store and now I can curl my hair when ever I want! So it's you're chose you can curl it and have the same curly hair for a half a year, or you can just buy a regular curling iron and cury it when ever you want! Hope that helps!

Can I/ should I get a perm to get my hair like this?! Please!?

Don't perm it because your hair is already damaged! Just use a curl gel or mouse in your hair when it's wet and scrunch it. Oh and also use a heat protection spray if you're gonna do anything like curl it and a leave in conditioner.

The best way to do your hair..?

Okay; well ALL of my hair is all in one big knot idk how it got that way but ive tried EVERYTHING so basicly its leading to " cutting it " :S

which im scared b/c even when it has NOTHING holding it in a ponytail/bun its STILL IN A BUN it wont even come down so i cant get the knot out; my hair is all matted up it literally looks like a ratsnest..

i wanna know the best way to cut it cuz ima have to do it with it being in the shape of the bun b/c i cant get it out even when nothing is holding it.. so whats the best way to cut it like that without me lookin like a boy.. or having extremely short hair..

The best way to do your hair..?

It is totally up to you how you do your hair.

The best way to do your hair..?

Try to wash your hair with a shampoo for dry hair and put loads of conditioner. Let it sit and gently detangle with a wide-tooth comb.

The best way to do your hair..?

Why don't you take a shower and put in a ton of conditioner to sooth the knowt out and just comb it out or brush it out in the shower? that will at least reduce the nottinesss. then just brush and find the root of the problem and cut it.:)

How can I de-volumize and de-frizz my hair? is there anything that can help or any product?

I don't like my hair when it's volumizing,it makes my hair look very poofy and frizzy and makes my head more bigger,I know most like their hair with volume, but I don't like it when my head is big! Anyone know a product that can help me de-frizz my hair also?I made a mistake because I wanted to get bangs a year ago and they grew but the bangs were cut in layers which makes it worse because when I cut my hair into layers it gets messed up! the bangs didn't grow long like the rest of my hair so yea...

Plezz help!!!!!!!!!

your answers are greatly appreciated!!!!

How can I de-volumize and de-frizz my hair? is there anything that can help or any product?

Go to your local Walmart. In the perm section of hair care you will find Ogilvie relaxer (or straightener). Green %26amp; gold box. The entire process will take under 30 minutes. I knew a girl with very big hair and nothing helped. It was big and frizzy. However she tried this and it worked for her. I use it every 6 months. Also I only use Aussie products. Wash, condition, and use Aussie 3 mintue miracle. Leave in and wrap in hot towel for as long as you can. Rinse with cool water and blow dry on cool. You will be amazed with your results. Hope this helps.

How can I de-volumize and de-frizz my hair? is there anything that can help or any product?

go to a salon and buy anything from paul mittchel(biologe) his products are amazing and work wonders and the best part about it if you dont like it you can return it and get your money back... but honestly i have clients with the same problem and i always make them buy his produts they really work wonders trust me. and they run about 10 to 15 dollars but they are so worth it

Hair Breaking Off?

For the past year, I've been putting tons of deep conditioners, and hot oil treatments on my hair due to this woman burning it when she colored it.

Well just recently, my hair has started breaking off.

For example:

- I look down at my shirt and nothing is there, but if i look back 10 minutes later theres like 20 strands. [some short, some long]

-Also if i even run my fingers through my hair, it comes out. [not in big clumps or anything, but i deffinetly lose more than the average 100/200 strands a day]

Do you think thats from the many deep conditoners I put on it? [especially V05 Hot Oil Treatment]

Its never did this before.

Hair Breaking Off?

u could be stressed out talk to ur doctor...

Hair Breaking Off?

if the hair coming out continues, i'd go to your doctor. it could be sign of something else. V05 Hot Oil, i've heard is not great for the hair, cause it's hot oil and damages. that is what a hair dresser said.

Hair Breaking Off?

If you straighten your hair a lot, your hair is breaking because of damage from the heat. So, because your hair is already damaged from the heat, it's getting MORE damaged by the hot oil treatments.

You're right about deep conditioning it to try to fix it, but use a leave-in (not hot) conditioner instead. There are deep conditioners that you can use at night that work really well.

It's normal to lose hair (On average, a person loses about 100 strands a day, so according to what you said, your hair loss is normal), but if you think you're losing MORE hair than normal, you should check with your doctor. A number of things can cause excessive hair loss. For example, about 3 or 4 months after an illness or a major surgery, you may suddenly lose a large amount of hair. This hair loss is related to the stress of the illness and is temporary. Hormonal problems, infections, underlying diseases and some medicines may also cause hair loss, so it's important to see your doctor if you think you're losing TOO much hair.

Hair Breaking Off?

If you've overdone it on your hair as far as coloring then your hair is stressed out. Don't do anything to it just let it grow. Curling irons can add more damage so let it "breathe" and if it is persistant, see your doctor.

Hair Breaking Off?

I suppose that you have to the doc. to find out what vitamin deficiencies you have and take the right vitamins and minerals. But if you tried every thing else then you could probably try this .BOB MARTINS yes you heard right . Buy them ,crush them into your conditioner and use as per normal.YOU WILL SEE A DIFFERENCE .

Hair Breaking Off?

The reason why your hair is breaking is because i think u know this its because the hairdresser did a bad job and fried your hair , the only thing you can do is to give youself a treatmen once a week for dry damages brittle hair and just wait for the hair to grow in but get your treatment done professionally.

Hair Breaking Off?

I'm not sure if your hair is falling out, or you mean breaking off? if your hair is falling off.. we loose about 45 plus strands a day.. but if its not normal you may seek a doctor... pregnant women tend to loose hair also.. ?

if your hair is just breaking off... i would cut back on the anything with heat, blow drying, flat ironing...

I'd continue to cut off split ends and try not to comb your hair more than once a day...

I'd stop using hot oil treatments, not becuz i believe its causing damage, but becuz i believe they dont work and may be drying your hair out if you use them too much..

try a diff shampoo... color safe.. something with moisturizer, something that wont dry out your hair.

Hair Breaking Off?

yes its makeing your hair to fragile and taking out all the natural oils out of your hair which makes it strong on its own I would say..which sounds kind of gross but dont wash it for like 2 days :p eww I know but the oil will help and just shampoo for a week. good luck

Hair Breaking Off?

yeah .. you should only use the conditioners not the hot oil treatments ..cause thats what causes your hair to fall off ...for example you have your hair burned already from ...dyeing it ...and the hot oil treatment is burning your hair even more and making it more weak , to hold on ...

Hair Breaking Off?

NOOOOO

hot oil treatments will not break off hair.. if anything it will only make your hair oily

you say your hair was burnt with color....

i can't imagine what kind of color your stylist was using to do that. Bleach can very well break and damage your hair to the point where it will break off

let me tell you this.. if your hair is very badly damaged.. the only way to get better hair is to cut it off.. that's when your breakage will stop

until then.. your hair will be very fragile.. keep it conditioned and comb/brush it gently.. don't pull on it or iron it or even blow dry it

get your hair cut often and eventually it will grow out..

Hair Breaking Off?

I had the same problem. And actually, you want to close the hair cuticles and hot oil opens them, so that could very well be the problem. Dyes and even some shampoos do this, and definitely the deep conditioners will, they open the cuticle to get conditioner inside the hair shaft.

Since hair is acidic, I thinly slice 3 lemons into my blender (leaving peels on), add about 2 cups of water, then run it at the highest level for about 2 minutes. Then I strain out the pulp.

I use a no -sulfates shampoo and since it's very thick, I mix it half and half with the juice. Once a week I also put the lemon juice on my hair (by brushing my hair forwards and dipping it into a bowl of the mixture, then get it on my hands and wet the rest of my head). I let it dry and take a shower next morning as usual. No - your hair won't feel nasty and sticky, etc, it actually feels good!

Anyway, my hair is looking absolutely GREAT! I still have some breakage, but it is SO much less now! And I have only been doing this about 2 weeks. It just keeps getting better! And my hair feels SO good! I only use a leave in conditioner, and a lot less of it than I used to. I can run my hands through my hair and come away without a strand, and my hair is much less notted. My fly aways are almost gone, too. I have spent so much and had very limited, short lasting results, this way has so far done nothing but get better! Good luck!

How am I supposed to brush my curly hair?

I've heard that brushing curly hair makes it frizzy and damaged and it's true. So, then I started combing my hair in the shower since it's easier to comb through because of the conditioner. But, when I do that, a lot of my hair falls out. I'm losing so much hair. If I don't brush my hair at all it gets way too big. What should I do ...? Thanks for your answers ...

How am I supposed to brush my curly hair?

Its perfectly normal to loose hair, you could be at the end of your hair growth cycle, so it looks as though you are loosing more. You should only use a wide toothed comb on really curly hair otherwise it will go frizzy.

How am I supposed to brush my curly hair?

Comb it with a wide tooth comb with conditioner in the hair. Use products designed for curly hair. (Aveda has an entire Be Curly line that is incredible) Use a diffuser on your blowdryer or air dry.

How am I supposed to brush my curly hair?

Don閳ユ獩 worry about all the hair that you see when you brush ur hair/ EVERYONE sheds hair. If someone has straight hair, their hair just falls out. But for us curly people, all the hair that naturally falls out, gets trapped on our head because of our curls! So when your brushing ur hair in the shower, its ok if a lot comes out. Its better if you use a wide toothed comb or ur fingers when brushing curly hair, and YES its good to do it only in the shower, otherwise u get frizz.

So comb out the tangles in the shower, and then you should probably put on some product after, so your hair doesn閳ユ獩 get tangly through out the day. I use Sunsilk Antifrizz cr鐚玬e, or Pantene mousse. Both work very well and u can buy em at Rite Aid.

How am I supposed to brush my curly hair?

It is normal to lose 100 hairs a day. Yours are just falling out in the shower. Try finger combing.

- Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now well defined and healthy. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life! But if this is completely uninteresting to you, disregard.

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blow dryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a micro fiber hair turban/old t-shirts (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

- The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygienic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sulfates). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (avoid these- ingredients will end in -xane, -conol, or -cone). Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair. Dry it gently by scrunching with paper towels or t-shirts- not towels. Then let your hair air dry or use a blow dryer with a diffuser.

- Use a cheap, silicone free conditioner to scrub your scalp such as Suave naturals or Vo5. Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner (salon) or Nature's gate\Desert Essences conditioners (health food stores) for your hair. I recommend using a gel (LA Looks, Herbal Essences, La Bella) over a leave in (L閳ユ┉real Out of Bed Instant Texturizer). Experiment with whatever products you wish, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

- You may be able to get away with some silicones (such as amodimethicone) if you clarify with a sulfate free shampoo. Try Devacurl no-poo (salon) or Cream of Nature (drug store). Feel free to find your own but always check the ingredients for sodium/ammonium lauryl/laureth sulfate.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! I hope you consider this- email me if you have any questions!

Dying my hair again!?

i am naturally a brunnette with a light tan and big brown eyes. but i have highlighted my hair so many times that people dont know wat color my hair really is. but they say they really like wat color my hair is now. but im not satisfied with the color cuz my eyebrows r dark adn dont match my hair at all. i want my hair all one color woth some some very natural looking highlights. So should i do it? just the color that is at my roots so it will match my dark eyebrows. i would like some pictures pleez!

oh and, im goinmg into 8th grade so i was going to get it done the week before school starts.

Dying my hair again!?

Seriously if you want to know what i think,Don't Dye your hair or highlight it. If you highlighted your hair so many times well sorrry to say but you hair is going to be ruined when you get older. It's the truth. I say just keep your natural beauty! It doesn't matter how you look.

Dying my hair again!?

Could U add a add a detail of ur self?

Dying my hair again!?

I highly recommend http://www.bosshairstyles.com

Really be careful about dying your hair too much too! It gets fried after so much dying, and fluffy looking.

Use hot oil treatments (available at Walmart) for after, and try not washing your hair everyday! Just every other day. But, if you must wash it, then try just washing the roots and avoiding the tips.

Dying my hair again!?

Your only in 8th grade and you've dyed your hair so many times?!! Wow! Leave you hair natural and don't dye anymore...or else you won't have any hair by the time your thirty!

Dying my hair again!?

8th grade, and already dyed the hair too much? that's sad. i didn't start until i was in college. you need to stop dying and processing your hair, or you'll ruin it. let your hair breathe!

Dying my hair again!?

don't know a website, but if you have help, here's a cute, easy style:

part your hair on the side, tie your hair back into a ponytail, then take sections, roll with your fingers into a curl, then bobbypin it to your head, repeat until all the hair is pinned up.

How to you 'tease' hair?

Thanks.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=aZ0PtX-cLfw%26amp;m...

This worked for me :)

How to you 'tease' hair?

its like ratting it. Take a section of hair and use a comb or pick, and go in a up and down motion quite a few times, it will help create some volume!

How to you 'tease' hair?

no.

ppl who tease their hair look like they have an aphro.

we use bed head.

it gives your hair oomph.

How to you 'tease' hair?

Tell it you want to make love, kiss it and say goodnight! That'll tease it LOL

How to you 'tease' hair?

I'm not really familiar with the phrase "tease" but

I do know how to style hair like that (my hair used to be

similar).

Well, a good way to make your hair big is by volumizing.

Buy some shampoo that specializes to volumize hair.

What also works is hairspray! The method I used was

to bend over and tilt my head a bit upside down, and just

spray all over. When you stand up straight again, style

your hair the way you want it to look. The hairspray should

plump up your hair and keep the style stable for 3-4 hours.

How to you 'tease' hair?

1. Begin by making sure that curly or wavy tresses are flat ironed or blow dried straight.

Avoid backcombing/teasing hair that has any natural texture without first straightening to prevent tangling.

2. If hair is flat ironed before it is backcombed, be sure that the strands are 100% cool before teasing. If not breakege will be more likely to occer.

3. Begin by using a soft natural bristle

brush to make sure that all knots and tangles are removed from all strands before backcombing.

Never backcomb strands that are not first detangled.

4. Using a rattail or metal comb or teasing brush, part off a section of hair from the rest of the strands. Clip the remaining hair out of the way.

5. Using your hands in conjunction with a comb, gather a small section of hair approximately 1-2 inches in thickness.

6. Hold the ends of the new section straight up and out from the scalp with one hand. You will be backcombing your strands in the opposite direction from its natural growth pattern

7. With the other hand, run the comb down the length of the hair from the end towards the base of the scalp in short, sharp strokes.

8. If you don't achieve enough teased hair or height then first time , repeat the process until the hair has the right fullness, height and texture.

9. Spray every newly teased sections with a firm hold hairspray.

10. Select a firm hairspray to completely spray all of the teased hair when the backcombing is complete.

11. Using both hands carefully smooth the teased hair back in the opposite direction making sure there is a lot of height in the desired area of the hair.

Once you get the hang of teasing your strands, you will be able to do it quickly and efficiently.

i got from a websight a long time a go so i changed a little bit of the words.

Healthy hair tips:

Use a moisturizing shampoo condtioner and leave in creme. I reccomened Neutrogena Triple Moisture, shampoo conditioner and deep recovery hair mask. It nourishes and

revitalizes dry dull damaged hair to softer shinier healthier hair everytime you wash it, it might cost alot but it's worth it;

Reviews:

http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a...

Neutrogena.com

If you dye your hair alot, leave your hair alone and wait to dye it atleast 3 years later or so. Hair dye has terrible chemicals that kill dry/damage your hair.

Brush your hair before shampooing and conditioner so your hair won't be tangeled and managable.

Comb your hair about 20 times each side so your natural oils can fall into the rest of your hair for natural shine

Don't wash your hair everyday try 3 times a week, Washing hair everyday strips the natural oils of your hair into duller dry hair.

Discontinue to heat style your hair or your hair will end up more dry/damaged, wait till it's completely healthy and maybe heat style once a week.

Avoid combing hair while wet, gently use a wide tooth comb, hair is very vulnerable while wet and can break off easily.

Don't put your hair into pigtails, buns or ponytails while wet, that causes split ends, breakage and damage.

Deep condition twice a week to bring back moisture to your hair.

Trim your hair tips every 4-6 weeks to promote healthy hair grow and prevent split ends from happening.

While shampooing massage your scalp with your fingertips slowly, not with your nails, nails damage the scalp and nails tend to be dirty. it's not necessary to shampoo the ends, then rinse with warm water to open the hair cuticles.

While conditioner leave on for about 2-4 minutes so you can get great results then comb hair with wide tooth comb then rinse with very cold water to help seal the hair cuticles.

If you use gel/hairspray/moose stop using them. They damage and dry up your hair because of the alchohol it contains.

If you use heat appliaces (blowdryers, curling irons, hair straightener) use a heat protecter spray so it'll protect your hair from heat.

If hair is really dry, go to the salon to get a deep treatment on your hair.

Once a month use a special deep conditioning treatment like olive oil, vitamin e oil, mayonaisse, eggs, hot oil treatment, castor oil, coconut oil almond oil or avocado.

Take multivimains, vitamin e, follic acid or prenatal vitamins to promote healthy hair growth.

Drink lots of water for shinier/healthier hair and eat lots of protein and healthy food like meat, milk, cheese, peanut butter, eggs pasta, cooked beans and raw vegetables.

If your in the sun alot buy a cap or a hoodie to protect your hair from the sun, heat damages and drys out your hair.

Buy a leave-in-conditioner/leave-in conditioner/creme to moisturize your hair all day long and don't rinse.

After your out of the shower set your blowdryer on cool setting and blowdryer your hair for 2 minutes, this will help seal the hair cuticles for a smooth shiny surface.

While combing hair, comb it gentle to avoid breakage.

Fried Hair please help?

hot oil treatment and some really good conditioner should do the trick.

Fried Hair please help?

go to a nice salon, and ask what they think you should do. Explain your not happy with your color, but you hair is extremely damaged. They can probably give you some advice.

Fried Hair please help?

try not to straighten it as much and u might half to get it cut real short to make it not so freezy... thats wat i had to do

Fried Hair please help?

try rinsing your hair with vinegar a few times and leave a conditioner in your hair with a hot towel wrapped around it for like twenty min or more this should help rinse your hair with cold water though this will lock in the moisture from a cosmetologist

Fried Hair please help?

get it cut in a layered bob... it would look so cute and would get rid of the damaged ends...my daughters have one and it looks great!

Fried Hair please help?

STOP STRAIGHTENING YOUR HAIR! You are ruining your hair by straightening it everyday, and you are also ruining it by coloring your hair at such a young age. STOP! You will regret when ten years from now when you're hair is peeling in two strands from each strand. It's horrid.

Sadly, there isn't much you can do to fix the damage you have already done. Possibly you can help with some damage control conditioner, and it would be wise to cut your hair short to get rid of the split ends. If you don't but your hair, it will just get worse. Trust me.

Fried Hair please help?

Well as a stylist for 26 years I recommend Redken CAT. You can almost find this at most salons. Hair that would not be colored or permed is able to accept either service after 4 treatments, that how good this stuff is!! Forget the vinegar!!

Fried Hair please help?

Cut it and get a new style-if you try and hang on to your beloved fried hair it will exhaust you mentally and financially. All though number one's very long list of tips is not bad. Also, on a regular basis, use a leave in conditioner after every wash. Good Luck and find something cute for a back to school new do!!!!! :) Much cheaper!!

Big volume??

how can i get my hair to look like this with big volume??

http://photobucket.com/mediadetail/?medi...

Big volume??

if you have long hair get some layers.

bend your head over and spray the underside of your hair with hairspray. let the spray dry for a few seconds and use your fist to scrunch your hair.

bend your head back up and tease it. basically teasing is just brushing your hair backwards. for example, you would normally grab some hair and brush downwards, but for teasing you would grab some hair and start from the bottom of your hair to the the top.

do this to your whole head and use hairspray to finish it off. goodluck!

Big volume??

tease your hair

and blowdry your hair upside down

and you can use volumizing hairspray

Big volume??

tease it underneath and use hair spray lots and lots of hair spray

Big volume??

It's all about the big curls, blow dry upside down and then tease it .

Big volume??

use volumizing spray

Big volume??

use lard

Big volume??

There are alot of ways to make your hair bigger,

you can use mousse scrunched into your roots while your hair is wet and then blow dry it.

You can buy thickening products.

You can use big rollers or big barrel curling irons.

But my favourite way to thicken up hair is to add some clip in extensions underneath the top layer of your hair, and voila! automatically twice as thick.

You can just clip them in and take them out whenever you want instantly adding thickness and volume.

But don't let your boyfriend try to run his fingers through your hair!

Lightening my hair?

i look just like my little picture thingy on yahoo answers, and i was wondering, because it's the boring cold winter months and my skin seems dull and less sun kissed, should i lighten my hair to bring out my natural golden color? or leave it dark, i'm looking for a big change with my hair. any suggestions?

Lightening my hair?

if you want a big change....then yes. it will be great for summer. however, i would use blonde hair color and not bleach because if you end up hating it and want to go back to a dark color, it's not a good idea to dye hair after you've bleached it.

Lightening my hair?

Yes, most definitely. You'll look more alive and vibrant with sun-bright radiant hues in your hair.

How can I get my hair to do this??

Ok, its the style where its wavy/curly, all the victoria secrret models usually do their hair this way, I need to know what I need, curlers(how big) or a curling Iron(again, how big) Ive put a link to a website below with the exact pic of how I want to do my hair, I have natrualy curly hair also, so that helps

http://img28.exs.cx/img28/2183/AdrianaLi...

How can I get my hair to do this??

take this pic to a salon and if they're good then they should beable to replicate it.

but if you'd rather diy then i'd buy a gentle bleach or dye, do that first, and you may need to have your hair cut (kinda layered) if it's not already. then loosly curl it if needed

How can I get my hair to do this??

take the pic to the hair place they would be able to do it for you

How can I get my hair to do this??

Dry your hair with a styling product and section it off in 5/6 sections depending on your hair thickness.

Using a 1/2 inch to 1 inch curling iron wrap the section of hair around the barrel and hold for a few seconds. Do this to each section of hair.

Run your fingers to losen the curls and spritz with hairspray

Damaged hair?

I straighten my hair every day because it's so big and poofy. When I straighten it, it actually looks good, so I can't stop. But I get split ends from this, and my hair gets coarse.

Does anyone know any good products that I could use? Please and thanks. :]

Damaged hair?

To prevent spilt ends and damaged hair Pro styling spray by schwarzkopf you can buy this for around 鎷?.50 its a heat protecting spray which protects heat damage to your hair when you straighten it and stop your hair getting worst ,

Vo5 Get it straight balm , helps protect against moisture loss and dry damaged hair , none greasy formular and bring it out to a glossy shine

I have the same probelm and i find that these work every time ! Good luck hope love hope this was helpful ! xoxoxoxox

Damaged hair?

I straighten my hair every day too. And i use Lee Stafford products which really help keep your hair healthy.

http://www.leestafford.com/uk/products/

=]

Damaged hair?

Trim the split ends and then use Mayonaise an rinse.

Or you can use avacado. It has a lot of vitamines and natural oils. And it smells fresh. I have used it on my hair and then just rinse it out. You can't smell it at all. And it makes it shiny and not greasy looking at all.

Models use beer.

Damaged hair?

I straighten my hair every day too. There is this hair spray u can get @ walmart. You put it on before straighting it, and it insulates ur hair. If u have split ends, u can trim them off and start clean. Good Luck! =)

Are there any home remedies for an ingrown hair in the groin area?

I had an ingrown hair removed from my groin area in Nov. 2006. It went from the size of a quarter to the size of a baseball within three days. I had to be hospitalized for the surgery. It was exacerbated by diabetes. The symptoms came back in approx. the same area two days ago,and has doubled in size already. Aside from going to a doctor, is there anything I can do at home to remedy this? The surgeon said it was an ingrown hair, but it was so big, I think it may be a cyst or boil. It is some kind of abcess, and it is already red and swollen. I have no insurance, and cannot afford another surgery. The last surgery cost over $15,000, which I can't afford to pay for. I can't squeeze it, it is already too sore. It is very deep just like the last one.

Are there any home remedies for an ingrown hair in the groin area?

If it keeps coming back in the same area, it might be Hidradenitis Suppurativa. You can check out http://www.hs-usa.org for more info.

In the meantime, hot compresses and hot baths will help to bring it to a head and burst. You can add Epsom salts to the bathwater to help the process.

If it is really that painful, you can get Vick's Vapo Rub CREAM (not the goop that we all grew up with) and smear it on there. The menthol in the Vapo Rub will numb the area a bit and it will feel like a cool breeze on a hot summer's day...

If the hot baths/compresses do not work, you will probably have to have it I%26amp;D'ed by a doctor. I would suggest going to an Urgent Care Center to have this done.

If you do get it I%26amp;D'ed, make sure you ask them to do a culture. If it is HS, the lesion might be sterile... and therefore there would be no need for antibiotics.

Are there any home remedies for an ingrown hair in the groin area?

visit an urgent care or dermatologist. you need another I%26amp;D and antibiotic treatment. follow up with a dermatologist to find out the cause of the abscesses.

Are there any home remedies for an ingrown hair in the groin area?

Listen to your doctor. If it's not at the really bad stage your doctor should be able to cut/slice it to relieve it.

Also these can be carried in your blood so this maybe why you have another one. You need antibiotics to treat them.

Are there any home remedies for an ingrown hair in the groin area?

acetacylic acid, you know the stuff you put on pimples. Soak a cotton ball and hold it there for a few minutes.

Are there any home remedies for an ingrown hair in the groin area?

the only thing i can think of is hot compresses then put on a drawing salve and bandage. but if you have diabetes, you should see the dr. antibiodtics might also be needed.

Are there any home remedies for an ingrown hair in the groin area?

I'm also diabetic and have had the same problem, but never as bad as your's. I always go for the alcohol, needle and tweezers as the first sign of an ingrown hair. I've even thought of having the area waxed on a regular basis. but..... I'm not afraid of the pain, just what will be said if it's seen.

Letting my natural hair colour to grow out. What is the best option?

Hi! My hair was always my natural hair colour, a really nice medium brown colour until about 5 months ago when I decided to dye it black. When I dyed it I was immediately disgusted with the result and I washed my hair many many many times in a row and was able to strip out most of the dye. About a week later, my hair colour was a shade lighter than the original colour.. then I went through all summer out in the sun and my hair got even lighter.. now it looks extremely faded and gross and I know it's all because of that stupid dye-job I gave myself..

So I'm finally getting roots.. I have medium length hair.. I'd like to let my natural hair colour grow all the way out. What is the best option here? Should I just let it grow and have big roots (ew)? Should I cut my hair really short to get rid of all the faded, damaged hair and let it grow in from there? ...

Any suggestions or comments would be VERY MUCH appreciated!! I want my hair to look healthy again...

Letting my natural hair colour to grow out. What is the best option?

go to a salon and have them dye your hair back to as close to natural as possible but please don't try this yourself because you will be very dissappointed. this is the best solution with great results

Letting my natural hair colour to grow out. What is the best option?

You might want to consider a color gloss--you can either get it done at a salon or buy a kit at the drug store.

Basically, these are the low-ammonia/no peroxide variety of hair colors. Since they lack the ingredients that damage your hair they are far less damaging--they subsequently also have less "lift", meaning they won't strip your natural hair color.

Also, if you use it yourself I would suggest not dying your roots at all. If you get the right shade it should blend in a bit better than it is now.

Good luck!

Letting my natural hair colour to grow out. What is the best option?

just buy the same color as your roots....

and then eventually your hair will grow out with out those ugly roots...

Letting my natural hair colour to grow out. What is the best option?

Go and match your natural with a permanent colour . Redo colour than just let it grow. Loreal Creme is one of the best and adds shine too.
