Chows dont like having their hair cut. They get very nasty about it. They also have THICK hair and it takes a long time to do it.

You shouldnt get his hair cut anyways, it can make the guard hairs grow back in courser.

Hi! If the picture is your dog then you don't need to cut his hair. As long as you regularly treat his hair he'll be fine. But when you notice that it is disturbing him like covering his eyes and scratches it always then that would be the time you really need to cut it.

You can ask a professional to do this for you. But if you wanted to do it yourself then you can use a muzzle and leash to keep him in place. Ask someone to help you hold him. :)

I work as a dog groomer. I shave down many chows but i have to say that they don't enjoy it much. they tend to be a little snippy. I would say that is the main reason. but if you find someone who doesn't mind putting a muzzle on your dog and actually take charge then you are good to go. He is really beautiful and i would keep his hair. I would also recommend finding a groomer who can furminate you dogs hair. It is a process to get rid of the shedding under coat. That will help out a lot with the hair problem, but like i said if you are set on shaving your dog then you need to call around everywhere and find one who isn't afraid of the breed and can handle themselves and the Dog because the dog will sense fear.

Ooh, a Chow Chow, is it? Do they really need to have their hair cut? I would say leave it as nature intended. Maybe a bit of a trim (you could probably manage that yourself), but otherwise it should be fine. Merry Christmas.

There are teasing combs at CVS (yes, made specifically for teasing), I'm pretty sure there are...just about anywhere that sells regular combs.

But I bought a cheap one from CVS, worked pretty well.

i got a teasing comb...and it takes me FOREVER to tease my hair, and its much harder to brush out when i go to bed at night.

i actually just use a big ol' regular brush..

it works fantastic, and i get lots of compliments on my hair looking perfect every day.

it takes some practice and getting used to though!

Is it just me, or I am one of the rare girls that actually LOVES long hair on guys? What I mean by long is shoulder length and longer. I've had a big fetish with Jason Mewes when his hair was super long and I just wanted to know if anyone else felt the same?

I am a 13 year old girl and I dye my hair onece every 3-4 mounths and I straiten and curl it about once a week! It gets greesy if I don't was it every day and some of my strands of hair are comeing out...Not like big shuncs or anything and It's not like I have bold spots my hair is just thinner than usual! If your hair gets greasy, it might be your hair type. Or, it might mean that you are using too many products on your hair. Either way, you can buy shampoo and conditioner that reduces greasiness. About the straightening, try spraying heat protectant spray in your hair before you straighten to reduce damage. Good luck!

oh, and, a big round brush and a blow dryer. but that will still damage your hair. Or you could get it chemically straightened. but the completely KILLS your hair!

if you want your hair to stop getting thin, don't do too much stuff to you're hair, like dying it and curling/straightening it. that's what's making it unhealthy. use shampoo for greasy hair.

Ok, you have really low self esteem, and low self confidence, and I am pretty sure that guys dont really like that too much. I am sure you are not unattractive, and that even without getting a breast implant you will find a guy that loves you.

Are there any other ladies who prefer long/big hair on men? I think I've always had a fetish, for lack of a better term, for men with shoulder length and longer hair. when i first come out of the shower, my hair has limp curls that hang straight down, it looks really good. however, as the day progressive my hair gets increasingly frizzier, and eventually it looks like i have a big curly afro. it doesn't look bad, but i just wanted to know if there was anyway i could get it to dry the way it is after i'm done showering. i've tried gel and hairspray, but nothing seems to work.

Try blow drying your hair with a defuser on it. It will take all the moister out of your hair and leave it curly. Oh and before you dry it put some Rusk leave in conditioner then some curling gel in your hair then use the defuser.

I have the same kind of hair. I immediately put a good palm size amount of Tresemme Curl care mousse(I have long hair) throughout my entire wet head right after i shower... it helps to brush my nappy mane too, then I add Biosilk (it smells great) and I end with a little scrunching :) it'll stay this way all day long... and no frizzes :D
