Chows dont like having their hair cut. They get very nasty about it. They also have THICK hair and it takes a long time to do it.

You shouldnt get his hair cut anyways, it can make the guard hairs grow back in courser.

Hi! If the picture is your dog then you don't need to cut his hair. As long as you regularly treat his hair he'll be fine. But when you notice that it is disturbing him like covering his eyes and scratches it always then that would be the time you really need to cut it.

You can ask a professional to do this for you. But if you wanted to do it yourself then you can use a muzzle and leash to keep him in place. Ask someone to help you hold him. :)

I work as a dog groomer. I shave down many chows but i have to say that they don't enjoy it much. they tend to be a little snippy. I would say that is the main reason. but if you find someone who doesn't mind putting a muzzle on your dog and actually take charge then you are good to go. He is really beautiful and i would keep his hair. I would also recommend finding a groomer who can furminate you dogs hair. It is a process to get rid of the shedding under coat. That will help out a lot with the hair problem, but like i said if you are set on shaving your dog then you need to call around everywhere and find one who isn't afraid of the breed and can handle themselves and the Dog because the dog will sense fear.

i got a teasing comb...and it takes me FOREVER to tease my hair, and its much harder to brush out when i go to bed at night.

i actually just use a big ol' regular brush..

it works fantastic, and i get lots of compliments on my hair looking perfect every day.

If your hair gets greasy, it might be your hair type. Or, it might mean that you are using too many products on your hair. Either way, you can buy shampoo and conditioner that reduces greasiness. About the straightening, try spraying heat protectant spray in your hair before you straighten to reduce damage. Good luck!

when i first come out of the shower, my hair has limp curls that hang straight down, it looks really good. however, as the day progressive my hair gets increasingly frizzier, and eventually it looks like i have a big curly afro. it doesn't look bad, but i just wanted to know if there was anyway i could get it to dry the way it is after i'm done showering. i've tried gel and hairspray, but nothing seems to work.

I immediately put a good palm size amount of Tresemme Curl care mousse(I have long hair) throughout my entire wet head right after i shower... it helps to brush my nappy mane too, then I add Biosilk (it smells great) and I end with a little scrunching :) it'll stay this way all day long... and no frizzes :D

Be very careful coloring Asian hair...any hair that is truely black or very, very dark brown, when lightenend has a major tendancy to turn wierd orange and gold colors. When you take color out of dark hair it goes through many different shades of red and orange and usually needs to be toned. So you will end up an auburn brown instead of a nice neutral brown like you are probably looking for. I have never thought that color looks very nice against most skin tones, but I am especially not fond of it against Asian skin tones. Also, the regrowth will be hell to keep up on.

Instead why don't you get highlights. You can lift them a little higher than you would dare to lift the rest of your hair because it is only a few pieces around the face.

Your hairdresser can make them any color after that...I mean any color from the brown you are talking about to green...and the contrast between light and dark is very appealing.

Either way this is not something I would try at home. Or your next question will be how do I get the orange out of my hair....or....why didn't my hair turn out like the color on the box...

Dark hair is really hard to dye, trust me, if your going to go for a lighter color you have to leave the dye in longer, and /or bleach it first, then dye it. but same rules apply for bleaching dark hair. Personally , i think you should highlight it with a brown instead if coloring first. then you can see if you like the color in your hair before you completley dye it

Right now it is puffy and just doesn't seem free-moving, if that makes any sense. I think I need it to be heavier. Well, I have an Afro now, but have had straight hair before, I like different styles. The best thing to do is to use a shampoo that has conditioning and cleansing in it, don't condition after shampooing, this makes the hair to stiff and frizzy. The best shampoo is one with silk proteins. Then use a blow dryer, and a hard gel like Paul Michell only at the ends, don't use the gel all over, this is not good if you want free hair, comb once then run your hands through it to separate, and voila! You have movement. This really works!

My hair, when I run my hand through will stand up in a very puffy manner, like an afro.

When I try to comb it down, it just puffs up again.

I dislike often imitating a marshmellow.

My hypothesis is that my hair is dry, but I'm not sure.

I've tried Pantene revival products (those 'deep' conditioners you leave in for 4-5 minutes, but they've done nothing but make my hair glossy.

Any suggestions?

Oh yes you can do that! Go to a salon and have them thin out your hair. They will start at the back and twist a chunk of your hair and take a razor and sorta chop through it to get rid of extra bulk. And since they wont touch the top layer your hair will look like it wasn't cut.

The best thing I would recommend to you is to search out a Japanese Straightening Perm. THOSE THINGS ARE AMAZING. My friends gets them shes part black and part korean. why not try wearing it curly , you can scrunch it by using a scrunching gel it will look really pretty.

well i think that straight hair is kind of boring now too. Now beach waves, loose S curls, and bed head looks seem to be the new big thing right now. So I think a cute textured wave would look good in your hair. I get alot of requests for layered beachy hair and I think this would suit you very well. here are some wavy styles I think would looks cute on you.

How to keep hair soft/straight?

i had rough hair so i put a relaxer in it. but the relaxer itself wore off after a couple of days. the back part of my hair is curly and rough while the front part is straight and not a big mess. i tried wetting my hair, putting conditioner, then putting gel but it was no use. then i put coconut/almond/olive oil but that didnt work either. any advice on keeping my hair soft and/or straight?

if you're up to using a straightner, they work wonders!! make sure to put something in your hair first, if you have rough hair, most likely a type of oil, biosilk is really good or thermasilk, something like that.. put a hot straightning iron thru it from root to tip and it should stay straight and not be stiff or frizzy. make sure that if its not designed for wet hair that you dry your hair first.

I am biracial and have very curly hair...So I get it relaxed. It is VERY hard for me to keep my hair nice and soft, but after a couple of years with getting it straightened I figured out many tips to keep my hair soft %26amp; straight.

1. Blow dry your hair and brush through it with a comb or brush after washing your hair.

2. Spritz leave in conditioner, and maybe some shine serum on your hair.

3. Use a flat iron and straighten your hair by layers [underneath your hair first, than the outside...]. Use a brush to hold the hair while you straighten to make your hair more shiny %26amp; smooth. [Brush the piece of hair, straighten, brush hair, straighten...etc.]

4. After you straighten your hair take a comb [again] and spritz hairspray on it. Lightly brush through your hair with the comb. This way, the hairstyle will hold.

5. *EXTRA TIP* Put a little bit of regular conditioner in your hair before straightening to leave your hair REALLY soft, and make it smell good, %26amp; not smell burned from the hair straightener. I use herbal Essences "None of Your Frizzies", because it smells VERY good. :]

Ive been dying my hair platinum blonde for about a year now.

I dye my roots every month, i used to rub the hair dye in all over the top of my hair and it must had gone over what i had aready died!. About a month ago big chunks from the top of my hair started breaking off.

Now i really carefully die JUST my roots.

Before you continue to lighten your hair, it's important you understand this.

Going by my assumption that you're using bleach to do so.

Over-bleaching the hair will cause it to enter a stage known as 'Cysteic acid'. This means when your hairs wet, it feels soft and jelly-like, and crispy and brittle when it's dry. When this happens, it means you've destroyed your hair's structure, and it literally won't hold itself together - breakage begins. There's nothing you can do for your hair when it reaches this stage.

It's okay to continue bleaching your hair - be careful not to overlap though. And remember, never ever bleach your hair to the white stage! You need to stop at the light yellow level and then tone using a pale violet semi-permenant color. This neutralises the gold, leaving your hair looking white/platinum.

as a salon owner and experienced stylist and colourist you really need to give your hair a rest, it is damaged, and what you have explained is that your hair is well over processed and it is breaking off, you need a very good conditioner and stay away from the bleach, or it will be damaged further

when ever you dye your hair the same color always do just the roots unless its dark then you put color on the ends to freshen them about the last five minutes of your colr time but when using high lift color or bleach always do just the roots it is the rule of thumb

I've had hair loss for a while - just in my part and the crown of my head. My hair is thin and medium brown. I found a product that thickens my hair and hides the scalp - it's called Dermmatch. It's kind of a makeup you apply on your scalp when your hair is wet where it's thin and it camouflages your scalp and actually makes your hair thicker and allows you to keep the hairstyle you like. It comes in several shades and works well when you blend two shades to match your hair colour. I've used it for a few years now and no one notices my thinning hair anymore and it's much easier to style and manage.

You have a right to work without being sexually harassed and you should have said so at the time, put your clothes on and left. Since the jerk didn't touch you, you probably have no criminal case. My wife would have a hernia if she found out that I was in an Art class and I was trying to paint a nude woman. I would do my best not to stay. It is a good thing I would never have to do that in game design. She would want to choke me for even looking. A woman like you can be a model. Their isn't really any type of features you must have to be a model other than almost perfect skin. I think the teacher wants to sleep with you. I just do not like the idea of painting a nude woman and I do not think I need skills like that in Game Design. Game Design is digital art anyway. If i wanted too, then i would paint my over weight wife. I think that it would be inappropriate for a male that is married or has a girlfriend to look upon a nude model. That is what I think.

It's pretty obvious that the students comment was set up by the instructors attitude. He needs to be reprimanded along with the instructor.

Hair Style Problems?

OK.....ppl..listen to this...I'm in a school (asian, but international) where everyone's hair style is more or less the same (perfect straight hair)...i have natural CURLY..VERY CURLY hair...last year this was a big big discussion..making fun of it @ my school...this year, i keep getting perms. I'm not worried much about the health, cuz i cut it on a regular basis, but I am worried because it gets very puffy due to the humidity, while trying to keep them down...so I was thinking spiky...like..not POINTY..but kinda spiky...and I hate short hair because it can make me look fatter...so...help me out! Honestly, don't be like the other girls that have the perfect pin straight hair. Love the hair that you have. I have curky hair very curly hair too. and i used to hate but everyone keep telling me that they would kill for my hair and i do things to help my hair so that its not all over the palce. but thats not the point. you should enjoy the beauty of your hair and love the fact that its different from others. the other girls are just jealous that their hair is not as beautiful and natural as yours.

and if you want your hair to be straight just a little bit then straighten it and you can use a shampoo and conditionar to help. i use garnia (sp) sleeck and shine. and perning your hair is horrible for it your hair is going to because so damage and getting it cut is not going to help it.

How do I keep my curly hair from knotting?

After taking a shower I blowdry my hair straight. Sometimes I curl it with a curling iron. For the first like 2 hours after curling it, my hair is fine. But if I curl my hair at like 2pm and get home from work at 9:30pm..my hair in the back is like one big knot. [I have to put it half up/half down for work] Is there like any way I can make my curls stay?

How do I keep my curly hair from knotting?

Sounds to me like you are having a major problem with frizz control, static control, and split ends.

But I may be jumping ahead of myself. What products are you using? May I recommend you try Pantene's line for Curls, they are the best shampoo and conditioner products on the market, and reasonably priced.

So lets say you wash your hair, you want to make sure you use shampoo and conditioner meant for curly hair, as curly hair needs extra moisture to lock in the curl. Then you will want to put a leave-in conditioner in (after you regularly condition) that is meant for curl lock. Comb it through, gently. Gently is the key word, never rake through your hair, it will only create more problems for you later on, I call this Hair Karma.

After that, you will want to buy 1-2 more products, depending on your hairs needs. Ideally, your leave in conditioner shouldnt be a 'spray" it should be more of a balm/gel, because then you wont have to buy another "curl locker". But if not, then buy a seperate curl locker gel, apply enough to go through your entire hair...Even though the labels say a 'dime size', I always use 'quarter size' but i have thick hair, so I need more than the thin dime that others may use.

Now, youre almost set.....so you have all these ingrediants, go ahead and style as usual. Have a "curl hairspray' in hand, and spray your hair when its almost dry, and then finish curling again (I call this re-curl), this will ensure the curl is locked in completely.

Now, what happens if this happens and still you have problems with knotting?

Well then you need to assess the damage to your hair. Hair needs to be trimmed on a regular basis, but curly hair is no exception. Make sure you get 1/2 inch trimmed every 6 weeks, dont skimp. This will lop of the dead ends.

Also, have you looked into getting a slight layer put into your hair, not an all-over layer ala Jen Anniston of Friends (Not the 'Rachel'), but a slight 'crown layer' that eliminates heaviness that a blunt cut of curls will give to your head. By giving a slight fringe to your back, it will really make a difference in how your hair 'sets' and 'lays' throughout the day.

Again, are you using an anti-frizz and/or anti-static spray/gel? If the problem is related to dampness/moisture, as it may sound like if your hair is perfectly healthy, then you will want to invest in a good anti-frizz gel.

Another point to consider: your diet. It sounds trite, but your hair really is a direct response to your diet and lifestyle. Hair is dead, the hair root is alive. But the hair root is underneath the skin in the dermal layer. The visible portion, the hair shaft, is just dead keratin cells.

So when you have an unhealthy lifestyle and/or diet, you will always see it in the hair shaft. Yes hair is dead, but when it was living in your root, it was being subjected to your state of health, so thus when it grows, you can really see how improper your nutrition may be.

Drink plenty of water, but dont drink excessive amounts. 64 ounces a day, no more.

Make sure you are getting adequate amounts of proteins and leafy greens in your diet.

For the frizzyness i would get some heat frizz controlspray (they sell them at any store like walmart target etc.) I normally ahve frizzy hair to but the spary helps alot!

- Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blowdryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a microfiber hair turban (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sulfates). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (read more about this at one of the websites) . Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. Do not brush/comb your hair after this point because it wil disturb the curl pattern (make sure you already have a part). It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair. Then let your hair air dry or use a blowdryer with a diffuser. Do not touch the hair while it is drying or it will frizz!

- I like some of the Aussie products, but there are better ones out there. Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Aussie Moist Conditioner. The combo of products that I use daily is Garnier Fuctis Sleek and Shine Leave In Cream, LA Looks Sports Gel (heavy hold), and Aussie Tizz No Frizz Gel (light hold- needs another gel to back it up), but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working.This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! Hope this helps!

When you want to wear it curly, wash and condition it and brush it with a vent brush or your fingers. Nothing fine like a comb. I use Frizz Ease curl reviver. It does wonders. After showering, I put a little defining gel (medium hold) and then spray the Frizz ease and smooth through. It curls right up. My hair is short. So it might not be as curly for long hair but. The Frizz Ease stuff is great. Also, never brush your hair after it is dry if you want to wear it curly. It just frizzes up like mad.

Also, blow dry with a diffuser and use your hands to scrunch.

I am a young women and I do trim my pubic hair so at least it looks nice and neat and shave/wax my bikini line. A confident and secure woman should just go up to her boyfriend and say, " Now listen here, I will keep my taint clean and at least trimmed but I do not like the shaven pussy look. It is my body and I will do what I want with it. If you have a problem with intercourse or oral sex because of it then I suggest you find someone else to screw." I am just saying this about the women who may not be into this trend.

I think that some of the reasons men want women to get rid of pubic hair are utterly ridiculous:

" I can find the clit, labia and vagina if there is no hair there." That is real BS. Most men should at least have a general idea of where these areas are on a women and if not then refer to a diagram.Many women are going to have these parts in at least the same general area. It is not like a guy is not going to find these areas if a woman has some pubic hair or they are in a totally different area all together.As Samantha Jones said, "Men are too lazy to look for anything down there so they think that having a shaved woman will make it easier for them to find things(Sex in the City)."

"If you have hair down there then you catch odors more easily and bacteria and then it smells nasty." This is true up to a point. If a woman washes her pussy well and takes care of it then there should be no problem with odors and bacteria. A woman can still be clean and fresh regardless of whether she has pubic hair or not. Let us just say that you have a female(any occupation you like) who tends to have greasy head hair and is prone to dandruff. Normally, she may wash her hair and body everyday and then it is clean. However, let's just say that you get into a situation and may not be able to wash your hair for a week or so because you had no showers and you had to use baby wipes or body wipes(you may get stuck in the wilderness I guess." The hair on my head may be unmanageable at times but does that mean I should shave it all off so I do not have to take care of it. If woman shave all of their pubic hair off then they do not have to worry about it because then they have none to take care of. Before anyone says anything think about what I am saying. Most women may need to be a bit more educated about bacteria and odor down there. Pubic hair actually blocks bacteria from getting into the vagina. Having pubic hair down there can actually help a woman's love life. Pubic hair captures pheremones, which can be arousing to some men. Most men love the natural smell of the vagina(it's not like it is going to smell like garbage or fish down down there." Of course, you hear men complaining that it smells bad down there. Unless a women has a yeast infection or something that is causing the bad smell it is just the natural scent of the vagina area. Seriously, you are talking about the natural smell of a woman's sex. Do men expect to place their heads down there and smell peppermints and poppouri emitting from a woman's vagina. I mean at times there may be a problem and it may smell bad but if not then it is just the natural smell.

1. Hair in the pubic area can capture and spread pheromones to make a man or a woman sexually attracted to one another.

2. Pubic hair reduces friction during body movement and makes it less likely to get skin irritation. There are hundreds of women who may say," The sex is better or more arousing etc without

the pubic hair." I guess that may be true for most woman and hey that is fine but think about. Pubic hair can and does act as a cushion for sex. Think about it; when two people have sex they are rubbing and grinding their pubic areas against one another. If you have hair there then you do not encounter skin irration or friction because of the hair. If you are hairless then you might encounter friction and skin irritation especially with vigorous rubbing or rough sex. This might not happen to all women who shave down there but it is a possibility and could happen.

3. One of the big hindrances about a female's pubic hair is that it gets in the way of oral sex and then you hear the guy complain about pubic hairs stuck in his teeth and some other nonsense. Men act like they are going to swallow a furball or something if they have to perform oral sex on a woman with pubic hair. You can just move it out of the way or move it to one side. As far as it getting caught in guys' teeth. Not sure what can be done about that.
