Yes, the stress can cause hair loss but remember that the hairloss process is a part of hair growing and there are moments that you lost a lot of hair that will regrow.
Try to take your rest-time and sleep and eat well and on hours.
In my country we use:
Eat gelatin, thats a very good source of protein. (for nails too)
Eat enough proteins, if you are vegetarian use the vegetable sources.
Don't tie it too tight, that stress the hair roots.
Cut the points every 2 months at least and in last quarter (moon) people say that it makes your hair stronger.
Wash it often, (dermatologyst concept to my cousin) keep it very clean.
Never put conditioner on scalp, just on longs and points.

i don't know how to help with hairloss, but i do know that if you dare, you can use eggs. scub them into your scalp like you do with shampoo, wrap your hair in something (a shower cap or towel will do) and leave it in for a few minutes. then rinse it out with lukewarm water, then finish off with cold water. if you find it too gross, you can buy hair products with egg essense in it. another way is: when showering, after you shampoo, leave in your usual conditioner for like, 5 minutes before rinsing it out. your hair will become shiny and smooth.

Stress does cause alot including hair loss, but try to keep it real conditioned, maybe with leave in. Don't mess with it so much, and keep it up. Twists are pretty and they look good on working woman.

Make sure you get a trim (1-2 inches cut off) every 4 months, it helps in keeping your hair healthy. And also, get a hairstyle with minimal maintenance. Such as a long layered cut and so on. Washing your hair every 2-3 three days will allow it to not being too oily or dry. and Be sure to run a brush through your hair atleast twice a day.
