What way should I put my hair?

I have really thick, black hair with bangs swept on the side, but my hair is getting a little too... big? It's hard to describe, but my hair is really wavy and not poofy or frizzy but just really thick and doesnt look very good to me. What should I do? Should I keep it wavy and use a certain hair product or something or make it straight? I use Herbal Essenses Totally Twisted Shampoo and Conditioner, is that bad or something?

I dont know if your hair does this some people it doesnt work but since you have some wave just use that same shampoo and put some curling mousse in with some hair spray and you can have curls or straighten it with a straightner. Thick hair is harder to straighten but its still possible just give ur self lots of time.

Totally twisted is for curls, so you know. If you're worried about having too big of hair, maybe go to your stylist and they can make your hair thinner with a special comb they have. My mom hadn't had her hair cut in a long time, so her hair became really thick and big. She went to get her hair done a while ago and the hairdresser used a special stylist's comb to thin out the hair.

Also, be sure to stay away from products promising full and thick hair or volumizing products, because they'll make your hair look bigger.

Try to straighten it a time or two and see how that goes. Go to you're local stylist and ask for any suggestions on hair thinning products. I'm sure they know of something.
