Ok, trust me do this, you will be happy with the results (years of try and fail on my part):

Wash and condition your hair with Matrix Sleek Look Shampoo and Conditioner (the longer you use it, the better your hair will get).

Keep a wide-tooth comb in the shower, and comb the conditioner through your hair, leave in for a few minutes, and then rinse out.

Towel dry your hair and apply Bain de Terre Recovery Complex Anti-Frizz Silky Shine Serum.

i have exactly the same problem. use GHD's. they are the best straightners, or have you considered having it cut shorter and more layered. that worked for me. before i had 80's hair! lol xx
