Chemically relaxing my hair?
It really doesnt cost that much, you can even do it yourself with an at-home perm kit, just w/o the rollers, I suggest having the salon do it, however, it takes soooo many years to overcome the damage this does to your hair, I'm sure you've already been told this, so if you want to go ahead and have it done, it costs around $50 where I am. I can understand why you would want to do it, I myself have thought about, just please remember to condition with a very good conditioner like every time you wash, I suggest Aussie's 3-minute miracle, as far as cheap goes(like $3-$4) Otherwise, try John Frieda's products before you do this to your hair, they help alot!

If your hair is just wavy, chemically relaxing it is not a wise idea. Even an extremely mild relaxer would probably kill your hair. I would try using a straightening balm. The link below has lots of ideas for how to straighten your hair naturally.

This answer my seem simplistic, but you should visit a stylist before doing anything. That way, they can exaime your hair and recommend products for it.
